Director Tetsuya Tomina‘s new film Who Were We? (わたくしどもは) will be presented to a selected audience in Tokyo on Thursday April 25, lead actress Komatsu Nana might be among the speakers for stage greetings. Next is a special screening on Sado Island (the film’s main shooting location) on May 5. Nationwide theatrical release (Japan): May 31 (Roadshow).

Tetsuya Tomina‘s latest film had its premiere at the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival in October 2023, a theatrical release date has been set for Japan on May 31. A new poster and a trailer are now available.

Film news at last ! After months of near silence about her present and future film projects, actress Komatsu Nana is back on the big screen. Who Were We? , director Tetsuya Tomina‘s second feature film will premiere at the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival (October 23-November 1rst) and is part of the official competition.
Nana Komatsu is Midori, a young woman who has lost memory and cannot tell anything about her origins and whereabouts. In a remote place where hardship and hard work seem to be the rule, she feels a bond with a security guard (played by co-star Ryuhei Matsuda).
