Short Biography

Nana Komatsu was born in Tokyo on February 16, 1996, the youngest child of a family of five. Raised in the Yamanashi Prefecture (Mount Fuji), she was scouted then recruited by agents from Stardust Promotion. She was a model at the age of 12 and soon became a familiar face in fashion and entertainment magazines.

Director Tetsuya Nakashima changed the course of her life and career in 2014 when he gave her a key part in The World of Kanako, her first feature film. The following year she became a Chanel ambassador and successfully passed an audition for a supporting role in Martin Scorsese’s Silence.

She has landed roles in 19 different films so far and garnered several awards including a Japanese Academy Award and a Kinema Junpo Award. Often seen in commercials for Shiseido, Google Pixel, Lotte and other prestigious brands Nana Komatsu, a true fashion icon, has graced the cover of countless magazines since her debut.

On a regular basis I also post Nana Komatsu related stuff on Instagram and Pinterest.

I run another blog called “N.K.: Nana Komatsu Films“. As the title suggests it is more focused on her acting career. Posts are generally much longer: reviews, full reports on movies, essays and also articles from web partners. Updates are less frequent and it’s in French.
