Prior to the release of the DVD/Bluray on July 22, The Last Ten Years aka Yomei10Nen will be available from June 24 as an advance download sale for Japanese customers. The production team has just released an excerpt of ‘Diary Of The last 10 years‘, a making of featurette included in the Premium edition. Director Michihito Fujii‘s latest opus The Last Ten Years reached Japanese theaters just a couple of months ago on March 4, yet it will be released on DVD and Bluray on July 22 and available on digital format as soon as June 24 ! Usually, it takes about 6 months (sometimes more) for films to be released on physical disc formats but surely Warner Japan wants to build on the momentum of the movie’s remarkable success.
Box Office Hit: Yomei10nen/The Last Ten years entered the charts at #1, topped the box office for three weeks in a row and remained in the top ten until it stopped being screened on a nationwide basis, bar a few selected theaters and some special events, on May 12. With a gross revenue of nearly 3 billion yens (about 23.5 million USD), it has become the number 1 live action film in 2022.

The post release promotional campaign for The Last Ten Years aka Yomei10Nen/余命10年 continues with the release of a new video by the production team on Friday March 25. The nearly 10-minute-long clip offers unreleased footage from the movie and the making of with an interview of the two leads –Komatsu Nana and Sakaguchi Kentaro– and director Michihito Fujii in a conversation format.
The Yomei 10 Nen photobook was published on March 2, 2022. 96 pages, quality paper, over 200 pics, this nice collectable item is available from several online stores for 2200 yens (about $18): Amazon Japan.
