Parasite in Love Outtakes

Parasite in Love, a film by director Kensaku Kakimoto, was released in Japan on November 12 last year. It is currently available on Netflix (depending on regions) and DVD/Bluray release is set for March 23, it is possible to pre-order it online from sites such as CD Japan.

Throughout the promo campaign in November and December 2021, photographer Nico Perez posted outtakes on his Instagram account. Here’s a wide selection to celebrate.

Parasite in Love DVD

Parasite in Love, the latest opus from director, photographer and video-maker Kensaku Kakimoto will be available on DVD/Bluray from March 23 onwards. The Bluray edition has interesting bonuses such as the making of, the official trailer and some event footage (most certainly the Premiere)…

It is possible to pre-order it from various online stores. Non Japanese speakers may find it easier to do it from Amazon Japan as the site displays some English information and instructions: Bluray.

The O.S.T. for Kensaku Kakimoto‘s Parasite in Love is available from various sources such as Open Spotify and Youtube.

13 Japanese and international artists have contributed to the soundtrack: Christian FenneszShun IshiwakaMirrrorAkeboshiHideaki ShiratoMeirin (Zombie Chang), Manami KakudoCony PlanktonBlack BoboiJulia ShortreedTokyo ShiokojiSarah Hemi and Miyu Hosoi. Parasite in Love Update

Major news on Thursday October 6 with the release of two full trailers (60s and 90s) as well as a new poster for Parasite in Love, the forthcoming movie of director Kensaku Kakimoto. The movie, starring Nana Komatsu and Kento Hayashi, is a film adaptation of Sugaru Miaki‘s novel (2016) and tells the story of two young people -Hijiri and Kengo- who suffer from rare phobias (gaze phobia and germ phobia) but fall in love with each other, against all odds yet for a short time…

Official Site: Parasite in Love (updated, new design). Artist, poetess and rapper Akiko Urasaki aka Awich wrote and performed the theme song.

November Parasite

The production team of ‘Parasite in Love‘ (恋する寄生虫) has just released two teaser trailers about 34s each as well as the official poster for Kensaku Kakimoto‘s new movie which will hit Japanese theaters in November.

The film stars Komatsu Nana (Hijiri) and Kento Hayashi (Kengo), two teenagers who suffer from rare and strange phobiae. Cast includes Ishibashi Ryo who plays Hijiri Sanagi’s grandfather and Iura Arata, a mysterious man…The Official Film Site has been entirely redesigned.

Plot by Asian Wiki: A young man named Kengo Kosaka suffers from extreme mysophobia. Due to his compulsive disorder, he is unable to maintain a relationship with anyone. Kengo Kosaka is also a lonely young man. Meanwhile, high school student Hijiri Sanagi has scopophobia. Because of her fear of being stared at, she refuses to go to school. Both Kengo Kosaka and Hijiri Sanagi do not expect to find love with another person, but they meet and fall in love. They have happy days, but ….the movie is based on Sugaru Miaki‘s novel published in 2016.

Parasite in love

Nana Komatsu will star in ‘Parasite in love‘ with actor Kento Hayashi, a film directed by Kensaku Kakimoto, mainly known for music clips he made for Miyavi, Boom Boom Satellite or The Radwimps. Set for a release at some point next year, the movie is a sad and twisted romance based on a novel by Sugaru Miaki which you can read in English there: Parasite in love.

Director Kakimoto commented on his lead actors about what they brought to the film: Kento Hayashi gave it heart and Nana Komatsu gave it life.

Both actors referred to the current world crisis in their comments, here is Nana Komatsu‘s message: “We’re in a precarious situation where we don’t know what’s going to happen now and tomorrow, I sincerely hope that a bright light will shine on the world as soon as possible”.
