Parasite in Love, a film by director Kensaku Kakimoto, was released in Japan on November 12 last year. It is currently available on Netflix (depending on regions) and DVD/Bluray release is set for March 23, it is possible to pre-order it online from sites such as CD Japan.

In addition, Okinawan singer songwriter Awich wrote and performed the theme song.

The movie, starring Nana Komatsu and Kento Hayashi, is a film adaptation of Sugaru Miaki‘s novel (2016) and tells the story of two young people -Hijiri and Kengo- who suffer from rare phobias (gaze phobia and germ phobia) but fall in love with each other, against all odds yet for a short time…

The production team of ‘Parasite in Love‘ (恋する寄生虫) has just released two teaser trailers about 34s each as well as the official poster for Kensaku Kakimoto‘s new movie which will hit Japanese theaters in November.
The film stars Komatsu Nana (Hijiri) and Kento Hayashi (Kengo), two teenagers who suffer from rare and strange phobiae. Cast includes Ishibashi Ryo who plays Hijiri Sanagi’s grandfather and Iura Arata, a mysterious man…The Official Film Site has been entirely redesigned.
Plot by Asian Wiki: A young man named Kengo Kosaka suffers from extreme mysophobia. Due to his compulsive disorder, he is unable to maintain a relationship with anyone. Kengo Kosaka is also a lonely young man. Meanwhile, high school student Hijiri Sanagi has scopophobia. Because of her fear of being stared at, she refuses to go to school. Both Kengo Kosaka and Hijiri Sanagi do not expect to find love with another person, but they meet and fall in love. They have happy days, but ….the movie is based on Sugaru Miaki‘s novel published in 2016.
