Nationwide Shiseido CM

Just released on YouTube from Oricon News, a new Shiseido (Integrate) CM is bound for broadcast all over Japan. Full length is about 8 minutes but it’s also available in shorter, split versions as the whole ad shows the model being interviewed about famous products, mostly food, from 12 different prefectures: Hokkaido, Nagano, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Ishikawa, Hiroshima, Kouchi, Wakayama, Aichi, Chiba, Iwate and Kagoshima.

In the world of fashion Nana Komatsu is mostly known for being a Chanel Ambassador and a figurehead for Integrate, a make up department of cosmetics giant Shiseido. But as a celebrity she has been in many a commercial since the very beginning of her model career, to name a few: Panasonic, Line Music, Asahi Breweries, Daihatsu (cars), Lotte and in recent years ‘Niko and’, Ora2me and Google Pixel.

In 2014, she started working for Aire Inc., a company which markets high quality lenses (Neosight, Ciel and Ring series). A new CM and a making of video have been released recently, in order to celebrate here is a collection of pics and links.

Making of Closed Ward

Synopsis from AsianWiki: Hidemaru Kajiki (Tsurube Shofukutei), Chu-san (Gou Ayano) and Yuki (Nana Komatsu) are patients at a psychiatric hospital in Komoro, Nagano Prefecture. Hidemaru Kajiki killed his mother and daughter-in-law. Chu-san used to work as a salaryman, but he suffers from auditory hallucinations. Yuki is a high school student and she refuses to go to school. Due to that, she receives outpatient treatment. Patients at the psychiatric hospital try to live brightly, but things suddenly change. A murder takes place at the hospital.

Japanese Woman in New York

According to the Film at Lincoln Center bulletin, there will be a Q&A session with director Bernard Rose and actress Nana Komatsu for the US Premiere of Samurai Marathon on June 28. The movie will open the 2019 edition of the New York Asian Film Festival which means that she will go to the USA to receive her Rising Star Asia Award.
